Barder takes Flight

Hayden and Barder had been together for years. Nothing could tear them apart, not even about the fact that Barder was a dog and Hayden was a 5 year old boy. Since Hayden could remember Barder had always been apart of their family and was always there. It wasn't till a cold windy day November when Hayden's family would be torn apart, the last time Hayden saw his father was boarding a plane to go on secret mission. The last time he spoke to his father he told him he was sending him a present from Iran, where his father had been stationed for 13 months. Hayden's mother missed him dearly and everyday wrote him an email to let him know how much her, Hayden, and Barder missed him. They awaited the day till he came back.
When the package came for Hayden he wasn't there, Barder was the only one home and he proceeded to growl at the post man as usual. He watched over the package and waited for mom to get home. When Hayden got home he was shocked to see a package on the kitchen table and tore the packaging to pieces, he unwrapped a orange turban that his dad had promised to send him. he couldn't wait for his mom to email him and for his dad to call there he could tell him he got the present. Mom sent emails but there were no responses. Mom turned on the TV and there was nothing but bad news, bad news about Iran. the secret mission went wrong and communication was lost with all troops. Hayden's mother burst into tears and didn't know what to do. Later that night after dinner was served, homework was completed, and baths were taken Hayden laid in his bed thinking. He wanted to see his father and show him that he got the turban. He got up and put on the turban, him and Barder were going to walk to iran to rescue his father. Hayden put on a coat and shoes, he walked out the door with high spirits and faith.
They began walking they passed the park, the school, the library, and the freeway. Hayden and Barder stopped, they were hot and tired. Hayden placed the turban on Barder and leaned against his warm fur and all the sudden the began to rise up off the floor! Barder barked and Hayden climbed onto him and they began to fly in the air. "Off to get daddy Barder! Wherever daddy is we must rescue him and show him what the turban can do!" Barder and Hayden flew for hours through the calm clouds, until the clouds turned into a dirty gray color and the air smelled of gun power. Barder was trying to make his way through the dirty clouds until something hit him, Barder slowly began drop to the ground. They landed in a war zone of Iran. Barder was on the ground crying out in pain but Hayden refused to leave him. They have been together for too long to let go now. they were just lying down waiting until a strange tall man in a uniform came walking towards them, the man picked up Barder and held Hayden close. Hayden got a glimpse of the man who saved them and it was daddy. The magic turban had bought them to daddy.

America & Other Countries

I think that there is a right time and place for everything. America tends to get involved in International affairs when they aren’t needed or asked for their assistance. America is known as the country that seems to have everything put together because America portray themselves as a country that has everything together and their problems are petty compared to other countries. I feel that America rather solve somebody else’s than our own. We want to help feed other countries and help those less fortunate, but we have people in America who need our help too. We want to help those who have no voice in their country and aren’t being treated fairly; we have tons of people who are fighting for justice here. There should be guidelines that countries need to follow when getting involved in International affairs. Entering Iran and Iraq was not a smart idea. We weren’t wanted and they fought back. They were trying g to resolve their countries issues in their own way thru their culture and with their current leaders. I understand that they had a lot of commotion going on within their country and they needed direction but it wasn’t out place to interfere in their countries problems. I think we tried too hard to implement our ideas by trying to resolve their problems the “American” way. I believe that there are certain circumstances where a country as established as America needs to interfere is the civil war in Uganda. Their whole government is corrupt and they aren’t able to help themselves. Their government is under attack by a group that have no intentions on making their country better. The children of Uganda are help prisoners and their future is depending on these horrible people who don’t care about them. If a country has a monarchy/communism government in control it will take a big country like America to help overthrow it. It needs to end because those types of leaderships benefit nobody but those in power and can be a potential threat to America.

Writting in Reverse

He walked past the school everyday sitting on the bench watching the children play. His eyes are fixated on the little girls running and jumping on the playground in their little shorts and skirts. It was summer time in the Bronx and it was the hottest time of the year, a 100 in shade and everybody could feel the heat. The man who was once a husband, principle at the local elementary school, and father of 3 daughters was sucked into an evil trap. The man who once had everything slowly began to watch those he loved walk away from him and loose all respect.
Tyler Cash. He was what some called a “peeping tom” and his most common reference the neighborhood creep. Being a man of weak will he was unable to resist temptation and the urge he was holding in. Young girls walking around tempted him more and more each day. It wasn’t until 5 years ago that he lost control of his temptation and touched Lilly Ann. It started by a few glances at her but with good intentions, he was smiling trying to be a friendly principle. His glances became stares, those stares become memories, and those memories built to thoughts of her. His mind could only think about young girls, many times he tried to shake this feeling but it wasn’t possible. He was curious. He turned to his wife for the pleasure that he was seeking but all he could think about was her old, loose, wrinkly skin. He wanted something young and soft. he then realized he wanted a child.
It was a cold day in November when he went after Lilly. “Lilly Ann, I have heard from your teachers that you are a brilliant student.
“Thank you Mr. Cash. I have been working really hard this year. I am so ready for 6th grade!”
“Yes I bet you are Lilly, you’re very bright and I am very glad to hear that. Would you like to stay after school and help in the office? My office is a mess and Ms. Buttertoff could use your help as well.
“Ohh.. I have to call and ask my mom. Can I call her in the office and ask?
“Ofcourse. We wouldn’t her to be worried about you wouldn’t we? When she gives you an answer come to my office. Ill buy you ice cream to thank you? What do you say”, he gave her a warm reassuring smile that showed no dangerous intentions. Lilly Ann came to the office to do exactly what she came to do, clean and organize. While she waited she noticed Ms. Buttertoff wasn’t there, nobody was there. It became dark and she began to worry about walking home. Behind her Tyler Cash watched her at work, filling away his papers. He suddenly got the urge to touch her, walking over he touches her shoulder and complements her work. He continued to rub her shoulder and moved his hands lower and lower. She began to feel uncomfortable and panicked. Tyler Cash had set up the perfect opportunity to have Lilly Ann alone and he could do whatever he wanted. Lilly Ann was his victim and there were not witnesses.
That was 5 years ago and Lilly Ann’s secret stayed a secret. She lost her innocence and didn’t know who to trust. Tyler Cash had taken something special away from that could never be replaced. Tyler Cash continued his sick ways until he was busted with child pornography on his school computer in his office. Lilly Ann was not his first or last victim. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, fired from his job, lost his family, and lost himself. To make things worse he is a registered sex offender. He has nothing but regrets. Everyday he rushes to Long Island where the only person in his family will talk to him, his mother. The judge recommended counseling for him and she got him counseling. Everyday he rides the subway to make it to his appointments hoping to get himself together.
